Robert Ozuna, MPA
President & Chief Executive Officer
Robert Ozuna is a Harvard educated executive with thirty years of professional experience working for a research university, non-profits, schools and private business. He has managed, researched, written and evaluated numerous competitive federal and state grant programs serving children, youth and families.
Mr. Ozuna is President and CEO providing visionary leadership and strategic management of the corporation. Additionally, he serves as a principal consultant providing grant research, professional grant-writing, strategy development and program evaluation. Clients rely on him for current grant information and grant-writing expertise. Mr. Ozuna’s proven grant-writing skills have assisted many organizations in securing millions of dollars in federal and state grants for services to children, youth and families. His success rate for securing competitive grants is above the industry standard.
Mr. Ozuna’s responsibilities include leading and managing the grant-writing team at RGI. He works with clients to establish grant-writing strategies and then executing those strategies in responding to funding opportunities and securing identified grants. Mr. Ozuna also supervises all corporate personnel and oversees all evaluation projects. He is currently working directly with all the Alaska evaluation projects. He is also responsible for negotiating all client contracts for services.
Mr. Ozuna is from the Yakima Valley, a first-generation Latino college student, an English Language Learner and raised in a migrant farmworker family living in poverty. This experience provides him first-hand knowledge of the learning challenges, language barriers and cultural differences low-income and minority students encounter in pursuing educational and career goals. This knowledge provides him unique insights into the needs of families and students and how to best address those needs when writing competitive grant applications serving these special populations.
Mr. Ozuna earned his Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration at Heritage University in 1991 and his Master of Public Administration at Harvard University, Kennedy School of Government in 1994.
