Victoria Garza, BSW

Victoria Garza has over ten years of experience working with RGI in various capacities including program evaluation, grant development and managing the operations of the office. Her experience includes evaluating grant projects for school districts, educational non-profits and universities in the states of Washington and Alaska. She is also on the RGI Leadership Committee where corporate challenges, strengths, solutions, and plans are made.

Ms. Garza is responsible for managing multiple evaluation projects which include monitoring program reporting, assisting in the development of online data collection tools and compiling data for independent local and federal evaluation reports. This includes analyzing data and writing the federal Annual Performance Reports for assigned grant projects. Additionally, Ms. Garza provides executive support to the principals of RGI Corporation and supervises office staff.

Before joining RGI, Ms. Garza was employed with Catholic Family and Child Service (CFCS). While at CFCS, Ms. Garza worked with the Foster Care to College Mentoring Program. Victoria assisted in planning, promoting, and coordinating events for students. Periodically, she gave informational presentations to students, parents and visitors about the services offered by the program. With CFCS, Ms. Garza also worked as a Volunteer Chore Service Program Coordinator, where she supervised volunteers and low-income clients, conducted home visits, and regularly presented at board meetings.

Ms. Garza is from the Yakima Valley, bilingual, knows the community and understands the needs and challenges many families, youth and children face in rural, diverse, and economically distressed communities. As a Latina and foster youth alumni, she knows the cultural and educational barriers encountered by the recipients of the grants we secure and evaluate for clients. Victoria participated in GEAR UP services while in high school and personally understands the support these programs provide to low-income and students of color.

Ms. Garza is a Governor’s Scholarship Recipient and earned her Associate Degree in applied science at Yakima Valley Community College in 2012 and received her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Heritage University in 2015.
