
Ismael Fajardo, Ph.D.
Research Consultant
Dr. Ismael Fajardo serves as a Research Consultant for RGI Corporation. He is an adjunct faculty member in the College of Education at the University of Washington and the lead researcher and evaluator at the City of Seattle Department of Education and Early Learning.
His research focuses on the P-20 STEM pipeline for underserved student populations, with an emphasis on secondary preparation, postsecondary transitions, retention, and achievement. Using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, Dr. Fajardo explores the conditions that foster accessible and equitable learning environments, helping to shape local, state, and national policy. He also teaches assessment and evaluation in higher education.
Previously, Dr. Fajardo worked on key University of Washington initiatives such as the Brotherhood Initiative and the Equitable Parent-School Collaboration. He earned his M.Ed. and Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Organizations from the University of Washington, a B.A. in Foreign Languages, Cultures, and Literature from Washington State University, and an A.A. from Spokane Falls Community College.
Born and raised in the Yakima Valley, Dr. Fajardo is a proud graduate of Grandview High School and remains dedicated to advancing educational opportunities for historically marginalized students.
